I just recently came accross EZ Drummer by Tooontrack. It seems like a great tool for songwriting and getting "real" drum sounds/beats on the fly. Has anyone out there used this program before? I wanted to get the advice from people who have actually used the program before I consider buying it.

I haven't used this item personally but if it's anything a bit like DFH's normal stuff which are those huge multisampled, velocity tweaked drums then I can imagine it being both very realistic sounding and very user friendly to create beats, loops or any backing drum tracks. The only bad part I can imagine is that the sample libraries must be huge and you've gotta spend a good deal of time installing that program. But if you've got the time, the hardrive space and some decent velocity pads or triggers then you can go to town with the program it seems.

a friend of mine has it and loves it. he uses it often for demos; for some strange reason he finds a lot of flaky drummers.....go figure.
