Default Convert Logic files into WAV

Hi ppl

I've been into music for quite many years now (all genres but i have a love for electronic and jazz ) and i've been using Ableton Live for a couple of year now.Lately i decided to give Logic a go.

Any ideas how i can convert Logic files into WAV or Mp3 format?

Hi DropCult77 and welcome to the forums.

Are you talking about getting a mixdown of all your tracks? What version of Logic?

This is how to do that in Logic 7. If you are just highlight what you want to mix (Apple+a will sellect everything) and go into the File menu. At the bottom it will say "Bounce..."

This will bring up a dialog where you can choose where you want to save on your hard drive. In the bottom left you will see a column of check boxes marked "destination". The first two are PCM and Mp3. If you check these you will end up with an uncompressed file and an mp3. If you highlight any of the options it will bring up the options for each type of file. If you have PCM highlighted you can select WAV or Aiff and select the bit depth, sample rate and dither type. If you have Mp3 highlighted you can choose the bitrate and add ID3 tags and some other stuff.

Lemme know if you hit any snags.

I apologize I have no method to do it in the old version of Logic but on either platform there are easy, free, and good quality ways of doing this.

In Mac use iTunes. Under the File menu choose "Add to Library" and choose your wav file. Then select the file in iTunes and go to the Advanced menu and select "Convert Selection to mp3"

For Pc you might need to do some downloading. Try this:

http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/

There are pretty easy instruction on how to use the product and also improve the codecs it uses.
