Default what fog juice doesn't set off alarms?

i've heard some venues use smoke detectors that sometimes go off with certain brands of fog or hazer juice. does anybody know of a a type of haze/fog I could use that won't set off the alarms? has anyone else heard of this or ran into this problem?

your best bet would be to not use fog juice or fog machines because they're dumb.

Also they often displace oxygen, and in certain stage situations that can be pretty bad for the performers.

I don't know of a mixture that is designed to not set off smoke alarms.

Fog machines can mess up the vocalists voice and make them go hoarse faster, as well as make people lightheaded. Best to avoid it.

Just in general, I've been to many a quincenera (sweet sixteen if you're in the U.S.) where DJ's ramp up the fog machine to near unbreathable levels. First of all, most people gag from the fumes, second of all you can barely see crap, third of all you can taste the fumes in your tamales, fourth of all totally clears the dance floor except for the real crazy teenagers who huff glue and like to dance.

If anything go for a haze machine. Less smoke to clog up an area, and less "juice" needed to operate.

Over the course of 15 years as a singer, one of the most annoying things EVER is taking a huge breath of air (because, you know, breathing helps singing and stuff), only to find out that you are in fact breathing in 2 lungfulls of the nastiest tasting shit EVER!

Leave the fog machine at home, play your gig sitting in bubble baths instead. Your singer will appreciate it and the chicks will dig it.
