I have a modest MIDI setup at home. Protools out to a splitter box and then to my keyboard and three synced rack effects. Some gear (my keyboard) seems to pick up the MIDI signals just fine, but other stuff (two of my rack units) takes some serious hand-holding to sync up. What could be causing this? Is the splitter degrading the MIDI signal? Is there a way to amplify the MIDI signal so the gear can hear it better? (The MIDI splitter has a 9v power input--maybe try that?)

Thanks, Chaorta. I'll give those ideas a try.
