Couple years back i almost bought David Bowie's old 2.2, but he decided to keep it at the last minute because good ol' Trent Reznor told him not to sell it.

I bought a Prophet VS instead.

Waldorf's PPG Wave 2.v is insane, on a related note. It's the most accurate emulation i've ever heard.

The sample were straight off the original beast and were recorded and looped really well. It was on one of my freewheelin' romps across the internet so I don't have the URL but I can post them if anybody's got some bandwidth.

Default who needs analogue headaches

i'm seeing a lot of dream synths are funky analog beasts

if you think analog is heaven, you must have a big wallet to afford a repair tech or a lot of free time to repair equipment rather than make music

give me a sampler plugin in my DAW (like EXS24) and i'll spend my time making music instead

when i want to go to a museum, yes that old stuff is really very interesting, and we should hold it in awe that anybody ever used that stuff.
