Default sampling keyboard

I've got a freind looking for a sampling rig or sampling keyboard that has enough space to get 4 quality melotron samples (flute, voice, woodwinds, and strings), and then about 10-20 other samples of voices and random sounds....but high quality. Like recording a cd quality. Any ideas on a way to do that for $600. or so?

Get an EMAX. They go for pretty cheap on the used market nowadays.

Keep an eye out for a Kurzweil K2000. I've seen them sell used around $4-800. Simple to use and usually cheaper in the rack version.
