The vocoder is actually a very simple design. The Electronic Sackbut caught my eye. A 30 oscillator synth in 1940.

I'm imagining Roger and Zapp wearing stovepipe hats and moustaches.

Does anyone know the name of that synth/controller I saw on a radiohead tour/record.... It's a little box w/ divits for your fingers, you operate it by plugging your finger into this ring and the ring has a string tied on either end.. So, the divits would be note markers, but of course note bends are very easy, just rock your finger. I have a feeling it may just be a controller. Someone once told me it was an obscure british company.. Anyone know what that was? is it on the list?

Yep, Ninja'd by Diego. It's the Analogue Solutions French Connection controller, and it's AWESOME. I'd like to get one for the system i'm building, but they're mighty expensive.
I want a long ribbon controller too. |
