Hi guys,
Ive spent the last 3 hours trying to get sound from my x-station but no luck, Ive gone through every possibility as to why its not working but to no avail. I am trying to use my synth with Cubase SE3, or even get sound coming out the speakers. It's worked before where i've had Audio and Midi coming through and used the X-station as the sound card - but for some unknown reason its stopped working even though everything says its working correctly. I have my synth hooked up to the front panel of my Creative soundblaster audigy 2 via auxiliary, the synth itself is powered by USB. All drivers are installed correctly and show no sign of conflict. When I load up cubase it tells me the drivers there and working fine yet when I select the synth as the driver I get no sound - however when I press keys the Audio Activity input bar at the bottom shows that sounds going in, but not coming out. Ive tried plugging in headphones to the headphone jack at the back of the synth and it plays fine. I've checked all the sound settings in control panel making sure nothing is muted, i've checked in system -> hardware -> device manager and it states that there are no problems, ive checked to see if there are any conflicts with the synth and my sound card but its telling me no. I get playback from Cubase if i select the soundblaster audigy as the driver, but not from the synth. theres no sound coming out at all. any insight would be a great help. Thanks, Angry Lee. system specs: pentium 4 3.4ghz 2gb ram 2 x 160gb hdd soundblaster audigy 2 zs platinum |

I managed to get the issue resolved, after trying everything i could think of, my last resort turned out to be the one that fixed it - I stripped my pc apart and rebuilt it. everything seems to work fine now, its a strange one as nothing was loose or connected improperly.
who knows! thanks anyway, Lee |

Sounds weird. Checking I/O and all audio and midi drivers is where I'd start. Glad to hear you got it working. Crazy that it took reassembling your whole PC.
