Never say i dont love you.
www.kvraudio.com http://www.dontcrack.com/ http://www.tobybear.de/ So far, i've fallen in love with the Arp2600VA, which is just so amazingly accurate for a free synth. Not enough patching options, but they're working on it. They make a Minimoog too, with a built in pattern sequencer. Chimera is phenomenal, it's a synth based on noise. 3 "oscillators" all of which are shades of noise, processed through bandpass filters plus delay, etc. |

Here are a couple sites that haven't been posted yet on this or other threads here. They are listed at KVR but you would have to go a-searchin' for them.
http://www.rgcaudio.com/ great vst sampler called sfz among others http://destroyfx.smartelectronix.com/ vst and audio units. My favorite is scrubby. What's up Chaorta? How's the sk-1? I've been reading up on bending myself lately. |

One of my newly rekindled uses has been for the plugs made at mda:
http://www.mda-vst.com/ I love their Leslie speaker effect which I've started to use lately alot. and the reason I haven't chucked my Windows pc yet since getting a Mac: http://www.tweakbench.com/ Last edited by dolivas; 06-29-2006 at 02:01 PM. |

As for MDA stuff, i switched DAW's to Mackie's Tracktion (which is stunning) and it came with the full sweet of MDA plugins...the leslie is insane, and i really like the simple FM synth too (DX10) |

Cool, I want your job.
I was reminded of another page of free synths when I saw a video demo of a Jen SX1000 today: http://www.contralogic.com/synths/ The one called leto is an SX1000 emu. It's a fun one. They're all made on SE. Here's the video that sparked my rememory: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxGhD...gspot%2Ecom%2F |

just to add on the smartelectronix tip, might as well mention the main page:
http://www.smartelectronix.com/ of note is antti's page with a Moog vst and Taurus vst as well: ![]() ![]() the Taurus vst makes me want to shell out for one of those Roland PK5 pedalboards. |

I have Asynth but I don't think I have ever touched it. Chock it up to over saturation of the VST folder-itis. I'll have to instantiate that one some time soon.

Ha, great thread! One of my favorite plugins is dfx Buffer Override, also from the smartelectronix guys. http://destroyfx.smartelectronix.com/
Especially funny to set the LFO's to random. Hens Zimmerman |

Sorry if YMCK's magical 8-bit VST plug has already been posted on this thread. Even if it has been, check it out again!
