per the wikipedia article on him. if you ever lived near the border of the U.S. and Mexico or you love old Mexican tv shows, "El Chavo del Ocho" theme song was done by him that's just so off-beat.

Does anybody know if Perrey ever got paid by Smashmouth for their shameless lifting a few years ago? Smashmouth lifted the main riff (and identical instrumentation) from a Perrey-Kingsley song on the P-K album "The In Sound From Way Out" as the intro for the Smashmouth big hit "Walking On The Sun."

By comparison, a few months ago when Coldplay lifted the melody line from Krafterk's "Computer Love", they agreed to give Ralf and Florian some nickels ahead of time...but Jean-Jaques doesnt have the profile that Krafwterk has...

Anyway...Perrey rules

i know people were onto it a while back......but i'm sure that they had to give him something; it was so obvious. yea, flaming lipps had to give cat stevens a huge chunk of change for ripping off one of his songs a few years ago. they never had the ok, but proceeded to release the song anyways and paid the price (cough)bittersweet symphony(cough).
