Default Laptop/Desktop DJ software primer

All you've ever wanted to know about all the commercially available DJ programs out there right now:

I hate to say it but they're on the money here I have yet to see any DJ program come as close to ease of use and just downright professionalism like Traktor DJ. Typically what those inexpensive DJ apps try to do is just give you very basic DJ features like cross-fading, basic cue, mp3 library things. But if you're above a party dj you need better EQ'ing, faster search options, and great filters etc. to be taken seriously if you don't have decks with you.

Forgot to note this also but that great link explains to you DJ terms and how those are incorporated in the programs they reference.

speaking of good DJ software, we had a peak at MAudio's Torq at Summer Namm. I have to say it looked pretty cool.
