http://www.synthmania.com/Famous%20Sounds.htm This guy has a nice page setup to identify a couple of those famous synth sounds used in famous songs. Of note now I know which sound I loathe it's that Emu Emulator II Shakahuchi sound... that world music flute preset is crap. |

Ha!
But without that Shakahuchi preset, how can every advertising agency in the western world properly set the stage for a wise man/mystic character? Without that preset, how can you cue the Vaguely Buddhist Monkish character so he may deliver his wisdom (that leads of course to buying some product.) Try to do that originally with new sounds and images and it will only confuse the audience, annoy the client and get you fired... ![]() -r |
