What are some songs that when you hear them you really wish you could have wrote them? Songs that get under your skin in the best way. There are thousands of songs I love, but there are certain songs that when I hear them I wish I wrote them. Maybe that sounds crazy, I'm not sure why these songs affect us stronger. More than just being favorite songs. Songs you wish you could have written. Alright, no order or anything just a few songs I wish I wrote.
Waterfall and Castles Made of Sand - Hendrix I am a Cracked Machine and Vincent Come on Down - Brainiac She's So Heavy and Across the Universe - Beatles Evidence - Faith No More New Noise - Refused You Are the Sunshine of My Life - Stevie Wonder Waiting Room - Fugazi Where is My Mind and Caribou - Pixies Karma Police and Idioteque - Radiohead Junkie Nurse and Yellow Kid - Royal Trux What goes on- Velvet Underground There are plenty of others, but these just stand out where I can listen to them over and over and keep getting that weird Deja Vu/ Man I wish I wrote that vibe. So bust out some of your daydream "I wish" songs. You know you've got some! |

Evlis Costello--"Beyond Belief" A fine example of building expectations by avoiding the chorus for as long as possible.
Foo Fighters--"Monkey Wrench" Pure power pop perfection. |
