That kick drum sound in the opening credits of Zombi is so creepy and excellent. I also recommend the theme to Profondo Rosso. I sampled this one as well.

I got to add to the list the Goblin rocks! you can go along all day talking about Italian-prog. One of the scary soundtracks i love is the Popol Vuh soundtrack to Nosferatu, or the ironic one Michael Oldfield's Tubular Bells.

Great bass sounds on the Nosferatu soundtrack. I like how it is treated as a solo instrument.

There was this movie called Wicker Man with some really awesome Celtic inspired tunes that were strangely eerie. Anybody ever see that one? Oh yeah and Paul Williams soundtrack to "Phantom of the Paradise" had some creeped out prog tunes.

"Phantom of the Paradise". I cannot believe this movie was made! Look away! I can't think of a worse waste of film. Or maybe it's so bad that it's good and I was in the wrong state of mind. HMMMMmmmm?? (It was kinda funny).
