some recent riffs I'm digging:

The Byrds - Eight Miles High (that Coltrane like riff)
Allman Brothers - Jessica (sunray beams of guitar)
The Kinks - Waterloo Sunset (sunset beams of guitar)
Popol Vuh - Hosianna Mantra (dawn beams of guitar)
Jerry Garcia - Love Theme(s) (from the Zabriskie Point sdtk just great impressionist guitar playing)
Faust - Jennifer (ambient folk with such an atmosphere)
Prince - Computer Blue (solo bit from Purple Rain sdtk, dancing fingers)
