Default Subs

Ok What does everyone here use for subs? They are on my short list of things to buy and I wanted to hear what others are using. Righ now my fav that are in my budget are the QSC HPRi15's. I use a set of these pretty often and they rock. Thanks

Those Qsc's Seem to be the best thing that isn't 18". If you're going to be moving it around, that seems like a good idea for a rig that isn't enourmous.

In general, do you think powered subs are easier to deal with in smaller setups?

I hear nothing but great things about the Mackie SWA1501s....but at 100 lbs, i'm betting you would complain if you had to lift them yourself!

I use those QSC's so I know they rock for the price. I don't want 18's they sound to flabby to me, I want tight and punchy. The only downside is they are heavy along with rest of the QSC series but I think its worth it. You should hear the 12" powered speakers from them. They make for amazing stage monitors.
