Looking for a sub to help handle lower frequencies from LH bass notes of Roland RD700SX. Running 2 Mackie SRM 450s from a Mackie 1202 mixer and need more low end. Also, I just want to use 1 sub between mixer and 450s so it needs to have proper I/O without destroying stereo signal.
Thanks! |

those mackie's are powered, right? so why don't you just use an aux send or a monitor bus for the sub.
also I would recomment getting 15" bass combo for the sub and eq accordingly. not going to be super light, but not impossible to carry. its hard to get bass without size |

I tried a sub at the last gig but the sound was wrong for the bass patches - especially accoustic. What bass amp would you recommend to run an aux signal through?
Thanks, Craig |

Ampeg has two series of little combos with 15"s that I know of. One is called the rocket bass and the other one is
http://www.ampeg.com/products/bassamp/ba115/index.html both have a -15 pad for line levels. also korg dx keyboard amps have good bass, but the ampegs will have better eq options, but so will your mixer |
