Default consoles

favorite consoles? for recording rock, my favorite is the Neve by far. Anyone ever tried a Euphonix? Its like a spaceship, and nothing is labled on it, huge time waster, but it sounds amazing.

I've heard tales about The Euphonix, but never used one.

I've used the SSL 9K, everything tracked through it sounds like a Poison record.

I've used a Trident, an A range I believe. It was super smooth, and had a really nice EQ.

I've used an Amek Langley. That thing had tons of headroom. To this day, I've not heard another console with the headroom that thing had.

I've used a Tascam 3500. It's nothing to write home about.

API Legacy, Neve V series, Calrec by AMS,

awesome EQ and filters on all, Neve channel compressors are amazing, Calrec has awesome flexibility for an inline board, and API has more headroom than any other board made these days.
