Not so much instructional material, but just wondering if anyone has any other books that are good reads for producers and engineers. I just got done with a book called Behind the Glass. Its a series of interviews and essays with a whole variety of killer producers like Alan Parsons and Brian Wilson, some really cool points of view and tips and tricks.

Professional Microphone Techniques by David Miles Huber
It's got a lot of good info, but many of you may have already learned most of this from experience. Still a nice reference occasionally and an interesting read. He's concise with the theory and minimal acoustics. (Hard to go too far into acoustics without PDE's). |

I thought that book was great! A huge tome, indeed. The Tape Op book is also pretty fun; worth the purchase if you are an old-school 4-tracker, like me. Great interviews, and a lot of good tips and tricks. |
