Default Audio Interface for student (noob) use.

Any recommendations? I am fine with firewire or usb, but I've been hearing about how firewire is somewhat better (bandwidth-wise).

I've been looking at:

1) mbox mini (possibly the recording bundle*)

2) Lexicon omega (I've heard the Lambda has phatom power-related latency problems)

3) Line 6 Toneport (egh not a big fan of Line 6 software/digital effects)

4) Mackie Onyx Satellite Recording Interface

I am still pretty open to suggestions.....
*Would a bundle be decent, or no...

Budget of $400 +/-

Thanks
