Apparently it allows you to record over the internet using a DSL. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet but maybe some of you should when you have a chance and get back to us. It looks pretty exciting.

sounds interesting.

Seems like it would be problematic for the everyday user. But like any circumstance if you hae the right set up could be a great tool. Especially for colaborating with artist overseas.

YAh good call. It's a neat idea in theory...but...hell i have trouble keeping up with just tossing .wav's back and forth with friends.

Well, it's good for a professional use defiantely. Anyone's ever had to set up an ISDN line for a studio will know it can be a pain in the ass. Not only that, it's expensive to run. If you've got a studio that's of a caliber that bands need/want to do this, this could be a great tool.

Most home studio users don't have a need for such a tool at present. Though, with the advent of myspace and other networking tools, it may help create projects that weren't possible before due to distance.

Very cool.

I can see there being problems too. You probably have to mess with the ports in your firewall which can be confusing for a beginner. I guess we won't know until somebody tries it. I don't have any free time coming up.

I think this actually runs of a regular DSL. That is why it was interesting. It brings the prospect of remote collaboration to the home user.

that's my point. it has the potential to make the necessity of ISDN lines for that kind of collaboration obsolete. i'd really like to have an opportunity to see it in action.
