Has anybody messed with upward compression? Seems like that would have some interesting applications for drums and such.

The JP22 thing is hilarious...do a little googling, he's a phenomenon...thanks puff pastry

OK here's a compression question. If you squish a sound using a slow attack on the compressor, then run the squished track through the same compressor using a faster attack (with all the rest of the settings unchanged), do the effects of the first compressor still show up? Or have you completely "painted over it" with the faster attack?

In other words, what is the sound of two compressors attacking?

Provided you don't change the release time, your new fast grab will create a small bump on the front of your fattened up soundwave, and you'll get another bump out at the release... i think.
