I think the sm7 is easily the best dynamic mic on the planet. You can use it in situation where a condensor is nesescary, but phantom is not available, especially on Vocals. I mean would you want this anywhere near your U87 ?......

uhh, i think i'll pass. if that's what you get from using the sm7, i'll take an re20 or anything else instead. i think his talent eroded with his nose, what a shame. where's quincy jones when you need him?
