Want to listen to Soil get autotuned and edited to a grid? Want to make a pot of coffee? Get sandwiches?
I had a good time interning at Genuine Music. The guys there got me real high and then left for the day. I think I surfed the web all afternoon then went home. I never interned more than a week at one place. I bet some of you guys have some interning stories. |

Have you ever been used, abused, bruised and broken? With little or nothing to show for it. Hi, I'm an intern making fun of Peter Francis Geraci, If you have Credit debt do not intern, if you have no free time do not intern, if you hate working for free do not intern.
![]() I was used for construction labor, interior design, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. One time I got to touch a mic, and then I had to clean it. Have you ever felt lower than subhuman scum on the street. I have, I was an intern. "Hey Luke can you cut that wire, and clean up that room?" "Sure, sounds good, (climbing a squeaky ladder), snipPOW, wow if I wasn't wearing Rubber gloves I'd be on my way to the hospital, does anyone smell burning hair?" Interning SUCKS ASS!

I was interning under Craig Bauer for a few months, worked real hard to save up money to devote my time for working for free. it was good for the first two months, but then his cd duplication business was lifting off and it was up to the interns to get all those jobs done, and then there was no educational time..and certainly no compensation. i voiced my opinion, and then i let the other interns suffer. please i hope no one does any business with Procreate.

A friend of mine interned at Chicago Trax for R. Kelly. He's got stories of having to meet random people at random places all over the city to deliver Rob's food. He says Rob would have Trax, CRC, and Battery all locked out and you never knew which place he would be at on any given day. He'd seen people with guns in the studio. He also told me other interns would put things into R. Kelly's coffee.

I interned at Rax for about a month. Long enough to decide I wanted to work on my own.

yea, i've heard those stores about robert and a from lot of others that have worked with him; supposedly he can't read, he needs someone to read his fan mail to him. supposedly he blocks time in many different studios in different cities, on different coasts, at the same time. supposedly there have been calls and visits from VERY young women claiming rob invited them to the american music awards, or inquiring where he was (he did marry aaliyah when she was underage, remember). supposedly his inability to read causes him to not have written lyrics when he goes in the studio, and he just starts singing what he thinks of when he gets into the booth (you remind me of my jeep anyone?). supposedly if he shows up at all, it's at about 3 am or so.....and he'll do 3 tracks in a night; start to finish. i hear he has flawless mic technique, and perfect pitch; allegedly. |
