Nope. Never tried it. The frequency responce on that mic is very tailored to kick, more so than most other kick mics I have heard. I assume that this would not jive with were I like bass to sit in the mix but I may have to give it a try.

i agree, the re20 is usually my mic of choice on kick or floor tom. it sounds great, and is built like a tank!
