Default You drawing rubber bands

What are you doing to mix? Rubber band it all? I heart a lot of folks rubber band it then route all the tracks individually out through a console. The console part I like. The musicians want to get their hands on the faders but to me it doesn't matter if it gets rubber banded some. Does it matter? I also have been finding the points that try to go over 0 dBfs and rubber banding them out. That rules.

I'm definitely all for the analog summing. When I mix in the box I usually do a lot of rubber banding. This is because when something is mixed digitally I feel like all the instruments are trying to get the listener's attention. They each fight for the ear. Balance is difficult to achieve and maintain so it requires a lot of mixing.

When doing analog summing I use rubber bands much more sparingly and usually it is a creative decision rather than attempting to get things to blend nicely.
