Default how to discharge a capacitor

I just found this as a link on a valve junior mods page; i'm pretty sure i won't attempt to do the mods myself, but i wanted to pass this info along anyways:

Capacitors lose their charge over time. I would guess this would only be required if you were just running the motor and needed to get inside. Of course safety is safety and I would recommend everyone practice this precaution.

for these little caps you can do it without a resistor in line just by using the screwdriver across both ends of the cap, or at least that's how my dad taught me. We're the type of family to get shocks.

that's funny. but on a serious note, capacitors have the ability to kill you; even when the device is not plugged in. be carefull!
