Actually they don't sound too terrible on the rack toms but the distortion rules out using them on rack toms. They may come in handy in some situation.

The mic distorted on the snare too. No go on drumset at all.

I actually sort of liked the cheap mic on snare, in a way. It was kind of good for a trashy, lo-fi type of sound. They weren't that bad on toms but they were overall weaker than the nice mics.

Any more tests on these?
Hey for $5 you get a whole nuther sound, even if it is trashy. That sounds worth it. |
