I know you guys love giving your advice on anything, and I need some...
So here goes. Presonus Inspire or the E-mu 0404? Or anything in a similar price range? I thought about the M-audio ones or the Alesis io2... Or should I save up some more money and go for a Motu Ultralite or the Mackie Onyx satellite? I don't need that many inputs or any of that. Just the best sounding pre-amps and converters. Thanks |

i'd get an M audio. As far as quality pre's go, the maudio's are pretty clean and if you want a nice micpre its gotta be outboard, but i don't know of anything in that range that rival's an outboard pre. I'd say if you got four hundred save as much as you can for a nice preamp later.

I would suggest the EMU 0404. It shares the same preamps and electronics as their PCI line(which have very low noise floors, great quality) and I would say they would have the best A/D conversion on any item in that price range. It's just a raging beast of an interface for the price.

maybe you should go with dagosto's advice on this. My interest in interfaces is only that I don't want to know they exist and only use them for transportation.

Yea, I've heard great things about the emu products. For the price range, they are a good choice. |
