Default Numark video audio/video mixer

This thing looks pretty cool.

I guess DJs didn't have quite enough to do . . .

So that's two turntables and a microphone and a large flat-panel monitor and a video mixer. Got it.

Thumbs up

Well, I used to help my buddy who was a dj do the lights at his shows. I guess now instead of using me for labor and justifying it by letting me smoke out and do the lights (which was a blast, but not worth the back pain), he can just do that by himself. I imagine it would be handy having that control to set the mood for the track or change the environment during a track or at a break, where in most cases the lighting tech would not know the next track. I can see its usefulness.

yea, mixed media is definately where it's at! the visuals really enhance the vibe; or takes away from people's crap mixing.

Units like these just make me flustered. I already have a job as a dj, and that is to be involved in the music. I simply wouldn't have the time onstage to dedicate myself to the visual aspect of the show.

That's why we have vjs. Get two people and see how the ride goes!!

Some people want to do too many things at once and be the center of attention. It is cool to have visuals, but if you are doing so at the expense of the sound, that's a party fowl. You can have a screen saver and no one would care.
