where did you get your telephone? I used this really old black plastic phone with the really heavy circular ear and mouth pieces . that one was easy. a friend then brought me a helicopter-shaped telephone with the buttons on the handset. i don't know how to wire this one up and get it working... do some phones get a voltage from the phone line?

At some point I built a vocal pedalboard. Why? Because I'm INSANE when it comes to building pedalboards.

Anyway.... All you do is find all the extra pedals that have no godly use ever being included in your guitar rig and build something. Lots of DOD pedals and junky effects.

Shure Green Bullet mic -> wah -> overdrive pedal -> delay -> envelope filter -> chorus -> Boss SP-202 sampler (run into the 1/4" mic input for ring mod/filter/delay effects) -> Rolls Matchbox DI. Thing sounded ratty and nasty and came in handy more times than you can imagine.

I have one of those toy megaphones too. I also used to use this toy incredible Hulk, not for vocals. but through the pickups of my guitar. "Hulk get mad! Hulk get strong! Rawr!" Sounded amazing once the battery started to die. "Bhubulk gebet mabad duh duh duh!"

Oh yeah, and the Mr. T in my Pocket! There was this show, some band brought a keyboard that; when left on, if you didn't touch it for a few minutes it would start to talk. Then, from the mix position while we were waiting for the room to fill up, I was using the talkback mic to converse with that keyboard and the Mr. T in my Pocket... it was so surreal! "Left hand lesson!" "Quit your jibber-jabber!"
